4 Baptisms Planned This Week

This week was great.

Elder Doxey with Today's Rain Clouds

I took Elder Hanks to the office.  He just finished his mission, and finished very well.  What a great example, great missionary and friend. So his companion Elder Avila (from Honduras) will be with Elder Hansen and I until a new group of missionaries comes in.  Elder Avila is sooo funny and loves to cook.  Very handy. Haha.

The three of us are currently over four areas. Its nice having my small district in the house. We are trying to set up a regular schedule for splits with ward members so we can double our efforts. We really need this to be organized at ward council.

This week we did go on divisiones.  I went with with Elder Brinker and Elder Hansen went to Kuna Nega.

Elder Hansen said he was crossing rivers up to his knees and everything. Way cool.

With Elder Brinker I learned a lot. Mostly, I learned that I need to work in a smaller area. Sometimes it can be hard to focus on one small area when we are responsible for four areas. We have four baptisms planned for this week. Really gotta work hard before the end of the change.  Who knows where we will all be.

I Can Get Another Year Out of These--A Friend Can Fix Them for About $5

During Friday, Saturday and Sunday we literally talked to like 6 borrachos (drunks). It's the funniest thing but you have to be careful. This time one of these dudes came and started talking to us saying the most random stuff. Then, another drunk got jealous and they started arguing. It was the funniest but saddest thing ever.

The guy who started talking to us first wanted the other drunk to punch him ... so he folded his arms and flexed but nothing happened. Funniest thing though. At the same time, there was a guy from LA that kept making fun of him but swearing up a storm. Borrachos. I guess they are all sons of God, so I'll give 'em credit for that.

This week we also had Stake Conference and it was a big conference. We were sitting on the front row and got a shout out from the temple president and his wife.  Nice! It was hard to get investigators to travel that far, pero aye vamos!

Thats about it for this week. I've really felt this Spirit so strong these last 7 months.  My life is changing. It been pouring like crazy.  Lots of rain. No shortage of moisture. Haha

Ciao, Elder Doxey
